XML Schema and IFF

By allowing the expression of shared vocabularies, XML Schemas provide a means for defining the structure, content and semantics of XML documents. Here we compare XML Schemas with IFF, demonstrating the near identity of instance markup, but illustrating the difference between an XML Schema and an IFF ontology.
